Mayowa Anthea Adebiyi

Founder and Managing Director

Mayowa is the founder and managing director of Enpower. As well as being highly academic she has always possessed a creative flair and a great interest for the creative industries. While completing a BSc in Biomedical Sciences she embarked upon a career in plus-size modelling. Her experiences in juggling both commitments encouraged her set up the Enpower organisation in 2007.

“I wanted to demonstrate that it was possible to do other things. Exhaust all your options. Embrace all your talents. I wanted to motivate other young people to do the same.”

 While being a Postgraduate student at Imperial College London, Mayowa continued to expand Enpower and recruited a team of highly skilled ambassadors to help. As well as being a model Mayowa also writes and has a keen interest in communications particularly within the medical field. She has a very strong passion and vision for the service.

“I want to create a huge network and platform for which young individuals lacking career direction or relevant experience can flourish, in a safe, honest, and cost-effective manner. Think of the service as a tree with several branches; each branch provides a route to which you can progress further up the career ladder. If we think of a new way we can help people we will do it”.

Through Enpower Mayowa offers various different ways in which individuals can acquire the skills and experience needed to enter their career paths. Her ultimate aim is to bridge the gap between young people and their dreams.
